social impactIntercultural communication is nowadays more important than ever before but often fails due to a language barrier. Therefore we created a meeting place that requires twenty-two kickers and one ball but gets along without bold words.
Inimi-table-football, never the less tells a story. Built by refugees it reminds us of the beauty that lies in diversity, manifested in hand-crafted inimitable figures from different kinds of wood. Metaphorically speaking, every player has it’s own flaws and scars. But for the moment, everyone is equal, standing side by side regardless of color and descent.
The Hanover-based initiative Unter einem Dach aims to train refugees in craftsmanship. In the context of a student project, we designed low-tech products to be manufactured by them.
